This is the most useful app I have. Use it for reading, playing music, PDF annotation and so much more. Does everything you wish iTunes would let you do on your phone for storing and managing your files of every kind, and does it well.

It lags to scroll on iPad Air 2. Literally gave me a headache almost immediately. The UI reminds me of an open source project - many features arrayed as a mess. Functional, but ugly and annoying. I bought it to crop my PDFs margins but I cannot export the cropped version and the laggy scrolling keeps me from reading using this app. Hence, it is unusable for me. If the scrolling didnt lag, it would be a different story. Since refunds dont exist in the App Store, lowering from 3 to 1 star...
Its never had the slickest interface in the category, nor the best parsing of non-.pdf formats. However, its solidly functional, stable, and feature-rich enough to make it an easy recommendation as best in class.
I used to use adobe acrobat but once I learned this one, it was an immediate switch over. You dont only get to highlight, add text and text in bubbles, and change their colours like in acrobat, but you can choose from ANY colour for highlighting and typing text!!! It even has a little "callout" function where you can point an arrow at the document and leave a comment in a connected box, and you can control where the arrow points!!!! Hands down the best free pdf app out there (I only download free ones so I wouldnt know about purchased) It gives us so much freedom in our editing power.
I depend on this very handy app, but on my iPad, the latest version simply displays a readme file with no buttons or any other way to actually enter the program. I think somebody has posted the wrong complile.
This is the go-to app for all file management and productivity, but --> really need to get the multitasking update out soon. Paid upgrade or not - people want this app. PDFs on one side + Document writing on other; Video on one side + Notability study notes on the other; etc... There are workarounds out there but dont want to abandon this app yet.
One of the first apps I put on a new iPad. Particularly useful for PDFs.
Allows me to use all my PDF files on my phone and iPad and make some changes to them. Works very well.
Unreliable. I keep sending crash reports but they arent updating the app anymore.
Way better than Adobe! However: exporting your modified files which are shown in MyDocuments to something like Dropbox is not really implemented. Who needs their Cloud service, or iCloud? The interface is amateurish. dont understand why people are calling it excellent. It does cost money, after all! File management on an iPad is a pain. so it seems to be apples fault mostly.
Ive been using Goodreader for years now and wouldnt be without it. Great place to store all your pdf files and ebooks.
Very good app used quite often, simply the best. just one thing dont understand. Do I have pay it twice? I paid iPhone version before but have to pay again on iPad mini last week.
tried other countless pdf apps and this one is my favourite pdf app of all.
Great Stuff
We have tried numerous apps to allow us to work with PDFs and have had many that work ....OK. When an app that we had went down due to an update, we found goodreader. It is amazing... Functionality, ease of use , compatibility... The best very best product for the iPad I have ever seen. Keep up the great work team!
Use it to study and notes and it works very well
Great interface for pdf. Love the constant improvements. Well worth the money.
I cant say enough about the way this app works. Easily organize all your reading material and all the "Extras" that other apps dont have. Fantastic job on this one!!!!!
Love it. Use it for all my docs and manuals
I knit a lot, almost exclusively from PDF patterns. I purchased the Knit Companion app for $18, but the Good Reader app works MUCH better for me. Making notes and annotations while I work to personalize changes Ive made is so great, and I can share the files between my iPhone and iPad. Probably the best thing for knitters is the ability to track ties when knitting from a chart. I use the highlight line with 50% opacity and always know what row Im on. I highly recommend it!
